Dondra, or “Devinuwara” in Sinhala, marks the southernmost point of Sri Lanka, blending scenic coastal beauty with historical and spiritual significance. The area is best known for the Dondra Head Lighthouse, the tallest lighthouse in the country and one of the tallest in South Asia. Towering at 49 meters, this white cylindrical beacon still guides vessels navigating the southern seas and offers panoramic views of the Indian Ocean on clear days.
